When customers fill out surveys or forms with their personal information they, in return, want to be treated as an individual with their own unique needs, wants, and expectations.
Sending the right personalized information at the right time will strengthen the relationship between the business and the customer.

2. Be Educational
The main goal of your marketing efforts shouldn't be a dollar amount.
Your main focus should always be on solving the problems of your potential customers.

“Humans don’t buy from companies; humans buy from humans, so solving for humans is every smart company’s primary goal.”
He is right!
Nobody wants to feel like they are buying from robots.

3. Don't Hide Your Personality

This is the simpliest "how to be human" step you can take.
Letting your sense of humor show through your marketing does not mean you have to throw all professionalism aside.

This is a great way to throw in that special "human touch".
4. Be Transparent
People do not want to buy from businesses that come off shady, and most people can tell when something is off or there is a truth that is being hidden from them.
Don't use "fluff" in your marketing efforts.
Meaning, don't over exaggerate what you are selling to try and attract more people.
Be honest and transparent about what it is your product or service can and cannot do.
Be authentic when you make mistakes as well.
If your business messes up an order or cannot follow through with a deadline previously agreed upon, don't make excuses.
People appreciate honesty.
Whole heartedly apologizing and owning up to mistakes can ease the blow and will ultimately gain your brand more respect.
5. Have A Story, Values, And Core Beliefs
Here we go again with the "people buy from people".
Businesses don't just pop out of nowhere.
They start with people.
People who have a story and experiences that led them to the moment of forming their business.
So what's your business's story?
Sharing your story with your customers will inspire and make them feel more connected and engaged, because they will feel like they know you!
The same goes for sharing the values and core beliefs behind your business.
But don't just write them out - live it!
Let your beliefs and values show in everything that you do and create.
You are marketing to humans, so market in a way that humans will connect with.
Don't throw who you are aside, but find a way to channel your unique personality into your marketing efforts.
